Our mission is to make lighting that is quietly extraordinary — artisan crafted, carefully engineered, sophisticated yet simple. We are passionate about using the finest materials, embracing natural patinas, and honouring the art of craftsmanship. What began as a small workshop in 2018 now ships to homes around the world.
The art of artisan craftsmanship
Every fixture is shaped, assembled and finished by hand in our own workshop. Nothing leaves us without passing through our hands twice — once in the making, once in the checking. Small variations in the metal and the stone are not flaws; they are the signature of work done by people rather than machines.
Quality materials
We begin with outstanding raw material: thick gauge brass, solid marble and alabaster, leather, horsehair and frosted hand-finished glass. Each part is finished individually, and we favour natural patinas — oxidised and aged brass, tarnished silver — finishes that are richly textured and grow more beautiful with use rather than wearing away.
Made with care, sent worldwide
EmofBrotherStudio started in 2018 as a small workshop and a stubborn belief that a light should be made, not manufactured. Since then our pieces have travelled to homes across the world, each one packed to arrive exactly as it left the bench. Many begin as a conversation: a custom size, a different finish, a piece made for one wall in one room.
